Conversation with Space

Jachna/Wójcinski – “Conversations with Space” – “Conversation with Space was created during two recording sessions. The first took place at Warsaw’s LADOM in May last year, the second at Warsaw’s Brain in early June. The entire album was recorded and mixed by Tomasz Glazik, who also made a guest appearance on one track as a saxophonist. Sometimes their playing has been compared to the achievements of other sometimes much more famous duos like Joelle Leandre/Jean-Luc Capozzo, Pascal Niggenkemper / Thomas Heberer or Alan Silva and Jacques Coursil. However, comparison is not the point. We believe that the music of the Jachna / Wojcinski duo can boldly function without such references and is unique in its own right. For it is rare that two artistic personalities look at the world so differently and at the same time find such a wonderful common space.”
