God’s Body

The trio Jachna / Mazurkiewicz / Buhl became known to listeners through the album “Sounds Hidden”, released in 2016. The reception of the album by both the public and music critics was phenomenal, and it was hailed at the time as one of the most important events in independent jazz in Poland. Two years after its release, it was time to present the formation’s next material. The latest album, entitled “God’s Body,” is filled with free, dreamlike and highly mysterious improvisations immersed in electronic reverberations. The sonic nostalgia here has been dissected for a jazz trio with a subdued and spacious sound. “God’s Body” is seven extraordinary, multifaceted stories painted with sounds that reverberate in and out of the listener long after the disc stops spinning in the player.
