Pan Jabu
Wojtek Jachna/Jacek Buhl – Mr. Jabu is a musical record of three intoxicating days, in May 2009.
The recordings were made by Jarek Hejmann of Madżonga Studio , in the village of Suchary near Nakło. The album is an attempt to capture hot improvisation ” around” electronically modulated loops. Ideas are partly prepared, but more often they are born while playing. The duo’s music refers to various languages of musical expression – from groovy references to contemporary music, to abstract sound patches characteristic of electronic music. Mr. Jabu is a tribute to music in general, a way of musical development and an attempt at self-definition of musicians who have so far worked in larger musical organisms.
