Sing Sing Penelope – “Sing Sing Penelope” – The band was formed in 1999 as a result of the transformations that took place in the jazz-rock group Jaskinia. It was founded by active and renowned musicians from the borderline of jazz, post-rock and avant-garde – Daniel Mackiewicz, Patryk Węcławek, Rafał Gorzycki, Tomasz Glazik, Wojciech Jachna. Initially, musicians inspired by jazz-rock of the 1960s and 1970s, gradually expanded their sound range to include trance electric jazz, psychedelic elements and modern club and electronic music. However, this is only a starting point for collective and structural improvisations. After 6 years of creative work, it was only in the summer of 2004 that the band recorded its debut material at Studio “Butelka” in Toruń with engineer Michał Czerw.

Daniel Mackiewicz – electric piano, analog synth.

Tomasz Glazik – tenor & baritone saxophones, synth.

Wojciech Jachna – trumpet

Patryk Węcławek – bass, percussion, kalimba

Rafał Gorzycki – drums

All compositions by Mackiewicz, Jachna, Gorzycki, Glazik, Węcławek.

Recorded – 24.07.2004 in Butelka Studio, Toruń.

Mixed and mastered by Michał Czerw.
